Live Stream:
25th October 2020View past Sundays

Bookings have now closed to join us in person at our building for 25th October 2020.

If you'd like to join for next week please check here from Monday morning, or email for more information. We'd love to see you!

Hi. We hope you enjoy catching up!

Welcome and thank you for joining us. If this is your first time at The Oak, hello, we hope you enjoy our time together today.

Our plan today is to start by worshiping together with one of our worship leaders (song words will be on-screen). After that, there'll be a time of prayer and news, followed by a short talk.

There are materials on this page for our 0-3's (The Nest), Preschool to Year 6 (Treehouse) and Year 7+ (Oak Youth) to help the whole family grow together.

Happy Sunday, see you at 10.30am!

You can also catch up to all our talks via our podcast here.

The NestNoah’s Ark Week 3
0-3's

This week we are going to be learning about how it rained and rained!

Verse ‘Noah did everything just as God commanded him.’ Genesis 6v22

Book Noah’s Ark by Lucy Cousins (see link here). If you don’t have a copy of this book (or any other Noah’s Ark story book) then have a look at this video of the story (see the video here).

Songs The animals went in two by two - Who built the ark - All through history - Deep, deep, deep - Praise the Lord (see the videos here).

Activity 1 If it is raining/has been raining recently you could use this time to go out and do some puddle splashing or water play. While your child is playing, remind them of the story and how once Noah built the ark it rained and rained! You could also talk to your child about how much rain we might get this week and even make a rain gauge to measure it. Cut the top off a large plastic bottle, dig it into the ground or put a large stone in the bottom to stop it blowing away. Each day have a look at your bottle and make a mark to show how much water was collected that day.

Activity 2 Play sink or float game. Collect some waterproof toys and household items and a bowl/bucket of water. Some ideas for items you could use are coins, stones, keys, plastic blocks, feathers, corks, sponges, crayons or bouncy balls. Talk about how it rained and rained, and Noah’s boat floated on the water for a very long time. Let everyone guess whether each item will sink or float before you put it in your water.

Activity 3 Make rainmakers using the following instructions (see link here). This may take a little bit of time but makes a great sound. Or for a simpler version you could add rice to any bottle (gluing on the lid to ensure the rice stays inside) and then decorate it. Remind your child as you create your rainmaker that God told Noah it was going to rain and it did.

Treehouse4 points - I Have Sinned - Week 2
Preschool - Year 6

Check out the vieo for this week's TEAM CHALLENGE - Marshmellow Toss.

This week we will be learning about the 2nd of the 4 points – I have sinned.

Sadly, we have been separated from God’s amazing love by something the bible calls sin, simply put sin is when we choose to live for ourselves rather than god, we sin when we ignore god, we break his laws and do things our own way. Sin destroys relationships with friends, with family and with God, so instead of living the incredible life that God intended the bible says that sin has brought misery, pain and ultimately death.

Read Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Have a chat together about what Sin is, what that looks like in your life. Maybe when you say unkind things to people, maybe when you lie, maybe when you steal your brother or sisters’ toys. This will look different for each and every one of you.

1) Can you make a cross fingerprint to remember that God saved us of our sins.

2) Using a flannel and crayons or paint, write a message onto the flannel then wash it away with hot soapy water – Demonstrating that with Jesus our sin can be washed away.
