Bookings have now closed to join us in person at our building for 4th July 2021.

If you'd like to join for next week please check here from Monday morning, or email for more information. We'd love to see you!

Hi. We hope you enjoy catching up!

Welcome and thank you for joining us. If this is your first time at The Oak, hello, we hope you enjoy our time together today. A special welcome to those joining us for the parent dedication and child presentation of Joshua Isaac Pollock.

Our plan today is to start by worshipping together (song words will be on-screen). After that, there'll be a time of prayer and news, followed by a short talk.

There are materials on this page for our 0-3's (The Nest), Preschool to Year 6 (Treehouse) and Year 7+ (Oak Youth) to help the whole family grow together.

Happy Sunday, see you at 10.30am!

You can also catch up to all our talks via our podcast here.

The NestParables Week 1
0-3's

Over the next 4 weeks we are going to be learning about some of the stories that Jesus told. We can read about these in the Bible and they each show us how much God loves us and how we can be more like Him.

Verse ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love.’ Jeremiah 31v3

Book The story this week is ‘The Lost Sheep’ from Stories Jesus Told by Nick Butterworth and Mick Inkpen (see link here). If you don’t have a copy of this book then have a look at this video of the story (see the video here) or have a look in your Bible at Luke 15v1-7.

Songs God's love is big - Guess what, God loves you - When I look - The wise man built his house (see the videos here).

Activity 1 Hide some sheep toys/pictures/puzzle pieces around the room and then search for these lost sheep with your child. Once you have found them all, remind your child that God loves us just like the farmer did who went and found his one lost sheep.

Activity 2 Create a sheep picture. Draw an outline of a sheep on some paper then let your child decorate it using whatever resources you have available. You could colour your picture in, paint it or use cotton wool for the body, black paper for the legs and face, googly eyes, green paper for grass etc. Remind your child as they make their sheep that Jesus says, ‘God is like the farmer, He loves us just like the farmer loves his sheep’.

TreehouseLife of Jesus - Miracles - Raising Lazarus
Preschool - Year 6

Welcome back to Treehouse!

Today is our final session of this series - Life of Jesus - Miracles! We are learning about when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead!

To start with we have 2 games:

1 - What is the HARDEST thing for you to do? Sit in a circle, taking it in turns to have a go. Come up with something that is really hard to do!

2 - Sleeping Lions. Can you pretent to be asleep? Choose someone to be on, they have to try and get a reation from you without touching you.

Check out to video to see today's story.

Worship: These will be the songs in the parent led sessions over the summer, so it would be good to play them to the children so they can start learning them.

Wake

Who I Wanna Be

For all my days

Activities:

1. Draw Lazarus wearing clothes on one side. He can wear a long robe and a head dress. He should be smiling.

On the other side make dead Lazarus. To do this, you need to glue toilet paper over the whole shape to be bandages. Even the face can be covered.

You could use a lolly pop stick to attatch it so you can spin it round.

2. You may need help with this activity, making old style string telephones.

Make  holes in the bottom of the two plastic cups (Adults you will need to help with this!)

Get your string and thread the end of the string through the bottom of one cup, and tie a knot big enough to keep it inside.

Then you need to take the other end of the string and thread it through the second cup.

You can decorate the cups too!

Then use them to pass sounds to a friend – like a telephone. with the string stretched taut, one person talks into the cup while the other places the second cup to their ear. Sound travels along the string and into the second cup.

3. Using the masking tape, find a large cardboard box or paper and write JESUS out using the tape. Then you can paint over – wait for it to dry and peel off the tape to Reveal the name above all names!
