On top of our general giving, we are currently taking up two Special Offerings. These types of offerings enable us to respond to a crisis or invest in new projects or people.
1. TREEHOUSE & FAMILIES WORKER
We are looking to invest in a 'Treehouse & Families Worker' to work with our families and develop our community work with children and young people. We are praying for £30k to employ someone into this role later in the year for an initial two year period at 2-3 days a week. We have started taking this offering and will take a larger Sunday offering later in the year when we are gathering in our building again.
2. CARE FUND
We are taking up a Coronavirus relief fund - a Care Fund. This is the extension of a fund we use each year as a church to respond to peoples needs. In the past this fund has met mortgage payments and larger impacting costs - costs that Life Groups and Oak Communities struggle to meet collectively can be met by the whole church Care Fund in emergency scenarios - we are not a bank but we are a community. We would like to give you the opportunity to give in to this fund for the coming months. More information on how our values shape this fund is available here with a fuller 'Principles and Procedures' document available here.
To give to either of our Special Offerings this Sunday, or to set up or increase your regular giving, please see the information and form below:
