Crime Prayer-vention update

Crime Prayer-vention update

Posted by Will
on 6th September 2022

We met for the 2nd time over the summer. We worshipped, prayed, and heard from our local community sergeant Rachel, the lead Chaplain in for Leeds Dudley and the lead of the Christian Association.
The evenings are reflective and peaceful in worship, whilst informative and encouraging. The emphasis is not to point out issues in our community but discern from the police team how we can pray for them and our community.

We covered the following encouraging items:

 Farsley & Calverley:

- Reductions in Quads and motocross bikes

- Reductions in burglaries

- A relatively calm few months for this constituency

Pudsey

- Youth crime significantly reduced

- Burglaries low, and those attempted led to arrests

- Speeding operations in progress

Prayer points to take forward:

- A joint effort to tackle speeding in the Bradford road area

- Burglaries in Pudsey to significantly reduce

- Vehicle Crime, Pudsey to significantly reduce

- Continued peace in Farsley and Calverley

- A stretched police force doing their best

- Resilience for officers at these tough times

When do we meet next?
We plan to meet again on the 19th October at 19:30 at The Oak Church.

We'd love to see you there.
