Goats on a Mission!

Pastors in rural India often rely on the giving of small, local churches — churches made up of people who themselves have very little. Our friend Satya, whom many of you have met, supports and oversees churches being planted in some of the most remote, tribal, and rural areas of Eastern India.
The villages where these churches are growing are among the poorest in the country. Satya currently oversees around 20 village churches, and that number is increasing — people are meeting Jesus! But while the gospel is spreading, the pastors leading these churches are living in deep poverty.
That’s where something unexpected — and powerful — is happening.
Big news from Odisha: Pastor Satya now has two mission helpers with hooves — Sapphire and Bella.

These two goats were gifted by generous members of The Oak to help generate sustainable income.
But they’re not just any goats — they’re the start of something bigger. Sapphire has already given birth to two healthy kids, doubling the flock!
Why goats? In rural India, goats are a valuable asset. They provide milk, they reproduce quickly, and they can be traded or sold. This means more resources to support pastors, families, and growing churches in areas where steady income is almost impossible to find.
What began as a simple gift is now a multiplying mission — a growing flock with the power to bless many.
Let’s keep praying for Pastor Satya, the pastors he supports, and our small but mighty goat family. From Sapphire and Bella to the next generation of goats, your generosity is making a real difference.
