Encouraging Crime Prayer-vention update

Encouraging Crime Prayer-vention update

As we approach our second meeting of the Crime Prayer-vention project, we are encouraged that our prayers have been making a real difference in the community!

Crime prayer-vention welcomes people from our church, others from local churches, West Yorkshire Police, and the Christian Police Association to an evening of worship and prayer, every three months. We hear about local focus areas of crime, we encourage our police force, and we pray.

Since we last met, we can report some really encouraging figures!

- In Farsley and Calverley there’s been a significant reduction in nuisance motorbikes and quad bikes.

- In Pudsey there’s been a reduction in antisocial behaviour with just one incident reported. No other violent incidents have reported which is a real improvement on the previous period.

- There have been no further serious road traffic incidents which is good. We continue to pray for safe roads in our communities.

- We see continued improvements in burglaries across the areas but continued prayer in this area will be beneficial!

The police send their thanks and encouragement for playing our part in this initiative. We thank God for his movement amongst our neighbourhood!

One thing I’ve enjoyed is bumping into officers on our streets and sharing about the project and encouraging them with thanks.

Our next event is on Tuesday 26th at 19:30, we'd love you to come and pray with us!
